I died my hair honey blonde about 8 months ago, and now I want to go back to jet black.?

The tip of my roots are still roughly faded blondish color. If I put a black die on my hair, will my tips turn green?

not even. black hair dye works on any haircolor no matter how light. It will cover your roots. Whenever I''ve gotten highlights or dyeed my hair a light color and never liked it I have always dyed my hair black because it hides whatever you didn't like about it very well.

if u use box colour yes it could go green or even some other colour when going two levels or more darker you have to fill and that does not come in a box colour.your safe bet is to go to a salon and they can for sure do it for you just make sure thats what you want cuz once black is in your hair it will be forever to go blonde again

i am a natural blonde.. and have a golden color. ive made the mistake before of going darker and my roots looking reddish becuase i put a golden brown ontop of my natural golden color=red. i would go to a salon. its your best bet going from such a light color to such a dark. You dont want to risk having it look bad. And if u really dont have the money or time. I think the jet black will totally over power everything just make sure you get all the roots so its not obvious

I don't think so. I dyed my hair honey blond with gold blond highlights for the summer and 6 weeks ago I dyed black. it looked just fine!

black is usually the easiest colour to do. some blacks do turn green though I would either goto a salon or if you plan on using a box colour, call the company who makes the colour and ask their advice. theyre usually pretty helpful and even send coupons for hair colour. :)

my natural hair color is black... well i dyed it like a honey blonde.. then a while after i wanted it back to black.. so i dyed it.. and well parts of it turned reddish.. i mean i liked the color.. kind of looked black with reddish tones.. but if u dont want to risk this happening I would go to a salon.

no it will be blk for a very long time so think about it b4 you do it

it depends on what kind of dye you use. since black isnt an actual color, but a shade, black hair dye is usually a dark blue, purple, or brown based color. i dye my hair black with a purple based dye and everything comes out well. since your hair is close to a yellowish color, putting a blue based dye on it will make it green, so look on the box when u buy the dye for what color the dye is. it should say it.

From tonnnes of Experience with messed up hair dying I can guarentee that your hair will NOT turn green. It doesn't matter at all if you go to a salon or do it at home. Becareful though because if you bleeched your hair and dying it again you will prbably fry it alot (from experience). :)

I wouldnt dye your hair jet black it really is hard to keep up and the only way to rid your hair of black is to strip the color which can really damage your hair or cause it to fall out.I mean i dont think it will turn green or anything it should take the color nicely but be careful
