okay, your hair goes green in the chlorine because of the chemicals in chlorine. you need to wash your hair right after you go swimming. use a blonde shampoo, or a shampoo that really brings out your hair color. you also need to make sure that your hair is always very conditioned.

try the chlorine shampoo by paul mitchell. its great, you'll love it, and make sure to shampoo your hair after swimming, this is how it turns green is when you let it dry and the chlorine and chemicals have a chance to soak in. you can buy this at your local salon.

I recently got my hair highlighted and asked my colorist what to do. She said to make sure that I get my hair wet w/ non-chlorinated water first. She said that this would close it up and make it less suseptible to the chlorine. Then as soon as you can after swimming wash it with a a shampoo made to dechlorinate (examples are http://www.nextag.com/chlorine-shampoo/s... or a shampoo for colored hair.

I used to be a lifeguard at a Girl Scout Camp and all the little blond girls' hair would go green. Just use a nice strong shampoo just as Biologe IMMEDIATELY after swimming. There are shampoo's and conditioners made specifically for swimmers if you want to try those. Whatever you do, if you'll be swimming a lot, use Biologe conditioner twice a week to keep your hair from getting damaged.
