You should just ask someone who already has theirs done how much they paid because it depends on where you go and also how much hair you have, how much your adding in, and the price of the hair so all that will determine how much it will cost. Also make sure they sew it in and don't glue it in.

the extra weight of the hair causes your natural hair to fall out prematurely (causing thinning hair) and sometimes it is irreversible.

nature has made sure you have the correct weight and thickness to your own hair.

cost: full head around $200 - $400

half head (usually for length) $150 - $300

maintainance: $100 - $200 monthly

you must be very gentle on how you shampoo your hair. some you cannot use conditioner, either. with some you have to use special shampoo.

it's difficult to get tangles out.

if you don't have someone reputable to do it, it could end up looking all kinds of 'jacked' up.

Yes. There are lots of methods that work well with your hair type. From the interlocking technique which is done by laying a foundation with thread instead of braids and then the tracks are sewn on, to the rubber band technique, hot and cold fusion, even for fast application the clip on pieces as Jessica Simpson promotes. Don't let anyone discourage you. Do your research and start off with maybe 2-3 tracks for color or length before committing to a full head weave.

Weaves when done right will not damage your hair. The cost depends on the salon you choose. Weave prices can run anywhere from $250-700 (including hair) depending on technique and the amount of hair you use.

I wish you luck in finding the hair extension that is right for you.
