well, i went to a website a while back bcuz i wanted to know too, so this is wat it said:

I know someone who when their hair is wet they put in some hair mousse, then they would take their hair devide it in to like 6 or7 sectioins then twist it tight. then you seperate it and make it look good. Hope it helps.

Oh that's easy and simple, just braids portions of your hair in big braids (use little braides and you will end up with tight waves)sleep on it and wake up, take it out and comb it with a wide tothed comb.
