Do you have fashion tips for someone who is going into eighth grade and wants to look her best! please and fashion tips for hair and clothes or makeup.....styles thats will make me shine...i am brunette and kind of short but love to try different styles...have any, please and thank you!~

heyy! i just got done with 8th grade and im going into the 9th, i was in the exact situation you are in. well let me tell you this...if your going to go with a style (ex. prep, skater, emo, gangster, punk/scene, etc.) go with prep. the styles are simple and all you have to do is see what the other preps are wearing and just go and guy it and they cant accuse you of stealing their style cuz your a prep and preps where allot of

the same things as the others (i would know, lol.)!! good brands that i know of is Abercrombie, Hollister, Ruehl(owned by Aber.), and i some American Eagle. i wouldnt go with Aeropostale becuase personally anyone who wore Aero... you were considered poor cuz in my persepctive its cheap. if you cant aford Ruehl or Abercrombie then wear American Eagle or Hollister. you can by a hollister shirt for $12 on sale!! for shoes wear flip-flops from Aber.($40) or Hollister($20) or American Eagle($16-$20). they work with basically any outfit.

so personally i would go with prepy styles if i was you all the very popular ppl wore it(like myself) and the normal/average ppl too. its soooo sooper cute!! :)

AS FOR MAKE-UP, one thing i deffinetly learned was not to go wayyyyy out there with it, esesically the eye shawdow!!

go for simple but not too simple ill tell you what i wear that works great for me and i get SOOOO many complements on my makeup in the 8th grade i actually had some people go out and by my make up!! haha. and this is in order by step::

1.RIMMEL- Cool Matte - Mousse foundation

great for making freckles, pimple, zits, moles, and scars less noticeable!! rub and blend in to where there are no lines, a little goes a long way. and i think its like $6-7 bucks. its in a quite small glass jar. blend and rub with about 3 fingers.

2. COVER GIRL - Professinal - Loose powder

next step take a big powder brush and lightly use some powder. dont use allot! and brush all over face. its in a plastic jar and on the top it just says CG with a dark brown background and on the bottome is a small sticker that says Professinal Loose Powder. like $4 bucks.

3. PRESTIGE - SunFlower - illuminating bronzing bowder

gives you a great bronze glow! use the lighter shade! and use it as a blush, on the cheeck bones and a little on the nose and forehead. DONT NOT USE ALLOT OR ALL OVER FACE!!! if u use allot or use it all over face it will make your face look ornage not bronze, i know from exspirience and everyone will call you an Oopa-Loompa, i know. lol. i learned.

4. MAX FACTOR - Volume Couture - Mascara

ive tried sooo many mascara's i could write an articale for Marie Claire about it. lol. the best ive found yet is the one i listed above. it works great!! get the colour Rich Black. its the darkest one. and put on top lashes and bottom lashes. no clups that i have found yet and gives you dark, long, noticeable lashes!! works wonders!!! its about $8.50 its a little pricey for mascara but it last a long time and works gr8!

5. COVER GIRL - Perfect Point - Eyeliner

best and the most long lasting eye liner ive found yet. and dont put this underneath your bottom lashes put it on your bottom eyelid, if that makes sence, i cant put it any other way. if you havent used eye liner that way before...it will make your eyes water cuz it tickle the first like 4-6 times but now i use it all the time and i dont water anymore. cuz im used to it. REALLY brings out your eyes. trust me on that!! its like $3 bucks. its cheap but great!!

6. NYC - Cappachino - Lipgloss

great colour, last a loooong time and makes it bring out colour, shiney, and juicy!!

Hey...actually I do. Since you're only going to 8th grade, don't dress up like you're a college prep. Try labels like Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, and American Eagle. Jeans, sweatshirts, cute tops, flip flops, and sneakers should overrule your wardrobe.

okkkk so pretty much go for ike bright colored flats (patent leather) which are superrrrr cute!! wear your mae up light and natural and try to avoid bright bles or like hot pink or anything... just some eyeliner, mascara and a buff eyeshadow would be perfect!!! good luck in 8th grade!!!!

So, I would recommend NOTHING hoochie.

Makes people see you as something you're not.

Make-up- Keep it natural, you are not the age to be wearing like BRIGHT red lipstick it makes younger people look really bad.

Simple t-shirts with cute matching shoes.

For hair- straighten it, or scrunch it.

The hairstyle on your character is pretty cool. maybe you could have her hair. (Unless you already have it.) I wouldn't know what clothes would look good on you because I don't know what you look like. If you're curvy you might wanna wear a jacket that flatters you. If you're skinny, wear stripes. they give you curves. Try looking at hairstyle magazines at salons if you don't like my hair idea.

i just left eighth grade. and i have to say do not wear makeup unless you know how to put it on and it looks natural. seriously, some of the girls in my grade wore like an inch of eyeliner around their eyes, it looked so trashy. good luck, have fun

i work in fashion..i have loads of tips.

the most important tip is not how much you spend on clothing..but how well the clothing looks on you, how well it's made. if you are petite and slim..you can wear skinny leg jeans well. wear clothing close to your body( but not tight) to show off your figure

think of what your best features are..and play them up.

if you have good looking legs..wear dresses.

for makeup i like quality over quantity.

go for chanel and nars..both excellent brands.

hair...keep it well groomed..healthy..and cut by the best stylist you can afford.

I just finished grade 8!

some tips-

- try not to wear the same hair style all the time, change it up, sometimes curl it, straighten it, wear a bun, low pigtails, a pony tail

- head bands are cute and so are hair pins, experiment with them

- wear clear mascara, tinted moisterizer, lip-gloss and some blush

- don't wear alot of make-up

- buy a few pairs of jeans in different styles, cuts and colors

- buy 2 cute pairs of sweat pants

- try to not wear the same outfit in the same week

- get a good pair of running shoes and a pair of ballet flats

- wear what you feel comfortable in

- try new stuff

Trends this year are bright colors, cute dresses, white, long necklaces, bangles... Just find something you're comfortable in and you'll be fine.

try not to over do it with jewerlly. balance it out if your wearing a necklace wear a ring, and if your wearing a larger set of earrings then pair it with a bracelet.

black is your best friend; dont think about the emo and goth think about the chic, the elgeant, and the high end. (pluse it makes you look skinny)

makeup do what suits your face. try to bring out hte color in your eyes. covergirl has eyeshadow just to do that

and always pick up the lastest issue of Teen Vogue. it always help with any questions you need.

Wear what you want. Don't fall into a fashion trap. And end up wearing stuff you don't really like. If your short wear clothes that make you look taller. Short skirt's and heel's help make you look tall. Vertical strips on blouses also help make you look taller. And above all wear the color's that best suit your complextion. Wearing the wrong color can make you look really bad. Ask your mom about seeing an Avon or a Mary Kay representative. They'll help you find out what your color's are and teach you about wearing makeup properly. And above all avoid dressing slutty. That won't help you look your best just cheap is all. Have fun and play with styles and colors your still young and you can get away with making mistakes.

i am going into 9th and just came out of 8th...so i think i can help you out alot...

CLOTHES: wear hollister or abercrombie, guys love it and just wear cute stuff. everyone loves a girl that wears cute clothes...right? and think about what you like on other kids, try wearing it yourself.

HAIR: get side bands. everyone has them and looks great in them, and try highlights. Also make sure your hair isn't too long or too short. guys love that, and girls will too.

MAKEUP:don't go overboard on the makeup. remember you aren't that old yet, and you don't want to look like a stripper or anything. go light, maybe with just some lipgloss and some light mascara.
