It's kind of hard to see. But I would start by pulling your hair up, and triming the bottom section, letting a little hair down and trimming the next layer a little shorter, and so on. Until your done with all your hair. The haircut is pretty simple, just make sure to not chop off too much at once.

Go with a razor. I did the emo bangs for my hair and its so much easier if you use clippers or those electric razors that guys usually use to buzz their hair.

It will give you more room to make a mistake and clean it up. Plus it makes the cut look more professional.

Ok I cut my own hair and I have the whole scene hair thing.

Ok soooo this is what I do it might be kinda hard to understand cause it will probably be hard to explain.

Ok soooo for your bangs take the hair you want and part it to the side you want them on.

Then pull them over to the other side and hold them in the air and snip them in a straight line as short as you want.

That makes it to wear they are swoopyish and they are layerd and such.

Now for the rest of my hair I just freehand it and pick up random chunks in the back of my head and chop away.

I like really choppy hair sooooo I always love the way it turns out.

But yeahs I hope that kinda helped!!!

Search "help! I cut my own hair!" and read the disasters. It's difficult enough to cut someone elses hair, I can't help you ruin your own. If the professional doesn't get it right, you sure as hell won't dear.

ok i cut my own hair and i have emo hair as well. its absolutely necessary that you have a few mirrors: one with 3 panels of mirrors in front of you so you can angle them, and then 1 big mirror behind you. that way you can see the side and back of your head. 1st you shouldnt just chop a piece of hair off, you sort of use the scissors without closing them, as if you would use a razor, it gives a good choppy look like that

ok here you go:

1st part your hair where you want it. if it doesnt stay, pin it.

then start cutting the front. take a piece of hair thats no thicker than your pointer finger and sort of "shave" it down at an angle [i dont mean literally shave it off your head. idk, its hard to explain.] do this all over the front until you get it how you like it. obviously you want to leave the front pretty long though. then to cut the back: thin out the bottom underneath [the hair closer to your neck]. use the same technique you used in the front to cut shorter pieces at the top of the back of your head. sorry this is so long. email me if you have more questions
