My mom keeps asking me about how I will have my hair when.... I go off to college?

because now and for so many years of my life I've been wearing it in braids. But I don't want to get it relaxed/permed because of my hair texture and plus its really thick and long. But I don't know what I can do for good hair tips- people that can relate to me. I'm African American and mixed. Do you have any suggestions HELP!!!

ANYWHERE you go to college I assure you that you will find an accomodating african american salon!!!

I should know...i've gotten braids + cornrows with really cool designs plenty times (i played football in high school) IF A WHITE GUY CAN FIND A PLACE a black girl can find one with out a problem :) :) :)

and I've also found a bunch of barber shops too...but that's another story

I'm sure if you just go to school and find an African American friend (whose hair you like) she or he will point you in the right direction....just don't let your hair keep you from going far from home :) you'll do fine anywhere

p.s. natural is sooooo hot! or you could always get a weave :)

Um you can wear it straightened or in a pony tail

I find it ez 2 wear braids but i 2 have natural hair but i also find it very hard 2 get braids den take dem out an not no wat 2 do 2 my hair hair . So wateva u find ez 2 maintain dats wat u should do.
