of coz u can but u have to take care of it more since heat and chemicals can dry ur hair

- mosturise it with a good shampoo and conditioner

- do deep conditioning using a nice hair mask like loreal elvive or pantene Pro V fortifying treatment 3 times a week. this is a 3-minute mask but works wonders in reversing damages of upto 3 months

- do weekly hot oil treatment with olive oil

- use leave-in conditioner like sunsilk straighten-up conditioner to protect ur hair outdoors

yea its ok to straighten ur hair...anyone can straighten their hair. get a ghd straightnener...they are very expensive but tthey work on all hairtypes and it can also curll..i have one and i love it and use it all the time
