I wear gel alot. Everyday. But it looks my hair look really nice and the curls look shiny and bouncy. Sometimes it's hard and crunchy which i don't mind. BUt i've been breaking out and my doctor told me that gel covers pores up on my face so the oil excess on my face clogs my pores and gives me zits. He told me to choose between my hair or zits and scars. How can i make my hair look nice without hair products!! My grandmother told me to put lemon or beer. does that work? anybody have any tips! my hair get's frizzy and kinda nasty and rough without anything in my hair

And although it's never clogged my pores, if it's prone to clogging yours just make sure you wrap your hair at night with a scarf around your forehead so no hair touches your face. Were in the same boat here girl! I use hairspray and mousse and gel to get my curls to stay. I have an acne problem too. I found that if i curls my hair and don't put anything into it, flip my head and tousle the curls a little it looks great. Try using a little hairspray in it. Yopu can also straighten it (idk how curly your hair is). If you straighten it don't use anything. It will make your hair really sticky. If you want to keep using the gel, i suggest you don't use as much, only a tiny bit...REALLY LITTLE! Good luck with everything!

actually the beer might work : ) alcohol will work the same as a gel if it is mixed with detangler, neither of which will clog your pores. buy some cheap detangler and some germ-x. it REALLY works! for me, at least. but this way is a lot less expensive than buying expensive products for hair at the store.
