Horrid hair???

I have the same hair as you! Mine is super redonkulously thick. If I don't do my hair, then I end up with this pyramid of frizzy by the end of the day.

I really recommend that you go to the stylist and get them to thin your hair. It certainly won't make your hair flat, BUT it will get rid of all that poofy at the ends of your hair and will make your natural texture easier to manage. It already looks like you have some natural curl, with your hair thinned, your curls will look more managed and beautiful. The scene cuts utilize the thinning technique, however you don't have to go for a sceney cut if that isn't your thing. You can stick with your current cut and just have them take away some of the body. You'll notice that your hair dries much quicker (after showering) and doesn't frizz so much. BONUS: since it dries quicker, you can use your flat iron to straighten it!

Your hair does look dry, so you may want to reduce shampooing. I shampoo every other day and condition daily. Try that schedule out. Otherwise, stick with your hair regime and try a leave in conditioner.

I swear by this: http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_pr... It's a hair serum. You use a little drop - like half a pump of it, and apply it to your hair (either wet or dry, both work). It will make your hair much softer and shinier. It smooths away frizz! Trust me on this! It's honestly, the best product ever for thick hair. On thin hair people, it tends to go oily or make their hair flat. But with your thick hair, you'll end up with softer and healthier looking hair. (If you aren't sure about it, then take some olive oil from your kitchen, but 1 or 2 drops in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and run it through your hair. You'll notice that instantly your hair feels better. Essentially this garnier product is grapeseed oil, which is significantly lighter than olive oil...but essentially the same look.) AVOID YOUR ROOTS!

I keep getting my hair thinned every couple months. Every morning I take a straight iron to my hair...otherwise I get those curls at the bottom of my hair. You could try this, but it takes waking up an hour earlier... (my hair is about shoulder length, and my shortest 'layers' start 2 inches above my ears...but they aren't really noticeable layers...it's just thinned...I love it!)

The VO5 hot oil treatments are also amazing if you do them every two weeks.

You should use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. I use the herbal essences line (none of your Frizziness)...love it! It smells great, and it's cheap. Just make sure that when you condition your hair, to leave the conditioner in for a while. Like, I leave it in then I'll shave my legs, use the soap and sing a couple songs, then I rinse...

Love your eyes!
